RULES OF CARRIAGE

This Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the individual ("Passenger" or "You") and Umza Aviation Services Ltd.  ("Umza Aviation Services Ltd " or "Airline"). By booking a flight or using Umza Aviation Services Ltd. services, you hereby conform with and to be guided by the following terms and conditions below:

1. Booking and Reservations:

1.1. Ticket Purchase: All ticket purchases are subject to availability and Umza Aviation Services Ltd fare rules and conditions of carriage. Umza Aviation Services Ltd. reserves the right to change fares, flight schedules, and other booking details like book on hold etc without notice as the operation may demand.

1.2. Personal Information: Passengers are responsible for providing accurate and complete personal information during the booking process. Umza Aviation Services Ltd. will not be liable for any issues arising from incorrect information, false information and wrong spellings.

2. Flight Operations:

2.1. Flight Schedule: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. endeavors to adhere to published schedules, the published flights are subject to adjustment due to some factors beyond our control. Umza Aviation Services Ltd. will make rational efforts to advise passengers of any schedule changes and cancellations that may arise.

2.2. Boarding: Passengers are expected to check-in at least 40 minutes before flight departure. Umza Aviation Services Ltd. may deny boarding to passengers who arrive late or fail to comply with check-in procedures like security, quarantine, immigration and other mandatory check-in requirements. Passenger may also be denied boarding for rudeness and general misdemeanors.

2.3“Force Majeure”: Force Majeure refers to the situation of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised for the operation. On this premise, Umza Aviation Services Ltd. Reserves the right to manage and take decisions on such situation unilaterally. 

3. Baggage:

3.1. Baggage Allowance: Umza Aviation Services Ltd.’s baggage policy is outlined on our website (www.umzaair.com). Passengers are accountable for baggage contents. Also, passengers are to comply with weight and size limits. Passengers are advice to make payment for their excess baggage across the counter.

3.2. Lost or Damaged Baggage: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. will not be held liable for damage to or loss of unchecked baggage. Passengers must report any issues immediately upon discovering the situation.

 

4. Ticket Changes/ Rescheduling:

4.1. Ticket Changes/Rescheduling: Passengers may change flight dates and times subject to Umza Aviation Services Ltd's ticket change policy. Fees, upgrade and restrictions may apply in accordance with published fares rules.

4.2. Cancellations: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. cancellation procedure is outlined on our website (www.umzaair.com). Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to Umza Aviation Services Ltd.’s refund procedure.

4.3. Refunds: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. refund procedure is outlined on our website (www.umzaair.com). Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with Umza Aviation Services Ltd.’s refund policy.

5. Passenger Conduct:

5.1. Behavior: Passengers are expected to conduct themselves properly during all stages of travel. Umza Aviation Services Ltd. reserves the right to decline carriage or remove passengers who engage in unruly or disruptive demeanor during flight duration.

5.2. Security: Passengers are expected to comply with all security measures and screening procedures of Umza Aviation Services Ltd., and that of relevant authorities at all stages of the flight duration.

5.3. Check-in: Passengers are expected to comply with all dangerous goods procedures published on our website (www.umzaair.com). Umza Aviation Services Ltd. Implores passengers to avoid carriage of these dangerous items.

6. Liability:

6.1. Limitation of Liability: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. Will not be liability for any damages, losses, of items misplaced in the aircraft or damaged due to negligence. We implore passengers to keep their items safe throughout the flight durations. Umza Aviation Services Ltd.is not responsible for consequential loss of items or indirect damages.

6.2. Force Majeure: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. is not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, industrial actions, civil unrest and government restrictions. Umza Aviation Ltd. will not make any refund in this circumstance. However, we may re-accommodate such passengers on subsequent flights subject to seat availability.

7. General Provisions:

7.1. Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disagreements shall be resolved in a court of capable jurisdiction in Nigeria.

7.2. Sales of SSR: Umza aviation Services will not be held liable for malfunction of purchased SSRs due to network glitch, network downtime and other technical malfunctions of the system at time of purchase.

7.3. Amendments: Umza Aviation Services Ltd. reserves the right to amend all the terms and conditions periodically. Passengers are urged to evaluate the terms and conditions frequently for possible updates.

7.4. Pregnant Women: Pregnant women of 32 weeks are eligible to fly with Umza Aviation Services Ltd with a valid doctor’s report signifying fit to fly. Umza Aviation reserves the right to deny any pregnant from boarding the aircraft on some observations. Umza Aviation Services will not be held liable for any eventuality or complications that may arise during the flight time. This include and not limited to flight delay, long flight hours etc.

8.1 Agreement:  By booking a flight with Umza Aviation Services Ltd., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to accept all the terms and conditions stipulated here. Failure to comply with these terms may result in depriving such passenger the right of boarding or other consequences as determined by Umza Aviation Services Ltd. Umza Aviation Services reserves the right on taking decision on any of the flights.
